Contrast Edging

Maybe it's a nod to Art Deco or just another direction as we navigate a bolder color profile in the interior world but contrast details are everywhere. This could be utilized in a variety of ways - whether it be through contrast piping on upholstery or a ribbon edge detail on the wall or even contrast trim on cabinets and doors. I love it because it can be applied in so many fashions.

Although I have seen it pop up here and there lately, I have mostly seen this technique being used in designs of the past. I really think this technique could be implemented with so many directions for creativity that I'm excited to see where it goes. We shall see if its something that has legs and will continue to grow as an interior trend. But for now, I am so inspired that I plan to use it on an upcoming project. More to come!
