i’m still in vacation mode

Now I know Summer is coming to an end and we’re almost ready to start thinking about Fall but let’s face it, it’s still hot. I’m squeezing out as much of this idea of Summer for as long as I can (although truth be told, I am looking forward to when I’m able to at least wear pants again here in Texas). So here is my last ditch effort for lounging and entertaining including all the goodies that have caught my eye lately.
~I’m going backwards and starting from the right and then working my way to the left…
I have been LIVING in this set since I purchased it and I honestly don’t want to take it off. It is the perfect weight and shape and looks good enough to wear as an outfit. I added some cobalt blue velvet mary jane’s to mine once and walked out feeling chic (and comfortable) af. It also has this light blue and espresso brown combo that I’m loving right now.

Ever since I bought my first Vada Sirens, I haven’t been able to take them off. It is my perfect shape and color and adds that finishing touch to every single outfit. It’s the pair that I reach for first every time. Katie, who makes Vada, is such a badass and I think she has the best collection of sunglasses out there right now. Love everything she does.

This stopped me in my tracks when I saw it posted. It sort of embodies all of the things I love right now - pleated fabrics, a romantic flair, organic shape, stunning colors and little beads dangling. I don’t quite have the budget for this in my life right now but I wish I did!! I’d wear it all the time.

I love a good striped beach towel - it’s quintessential!! And I’m really loving these two colors together specifically. I mean, there are a lot of combinations I could love but this one felt right for the season. Green was so “in” at one point and I think the attention has been taken off of it for the moment (a little bit) but it’s the hue and combination that makes it classic.

I have been a fan of Pale swimwear for a few years now and own another suit of theirs, which I love. So when looking for a new swimsuit this year, I went directly to them. The fits are so good and the quality is excellent and the price feels right to me!! This particular style and pattern really drew my attention as I love the colors for my blondie hair and pale skin.

I luuuuuurve these shoes. And when I say lurve, I mean I walked around all of Japan in these bad boys for two weeks and my feet were in high heaven. It is a technical sandal so it has the base of a sneaker but the breathability of a sandal. They are so freakin comfortable and I think they are cute to boot!!!! I bought mine in all black, which I can’t find online anymore, but I equally love the cobalt blue color as well. I love the chunkiness of it to offset some of my minimalist outfits. Plus suede is involved! It’s the perfect technical sandal.

PIERCE & WARD X WEST ELM COLLAB
Their new collection just dropped so I had to include a few of my favorites, as there were a few. It makes me so happy to see the exquisite touch that Pierce & Ward brings into an attainable price point of goodies. Furniture needs a touch of tramp these days!!
This one is a dream mirror. Perfect for powder rooms or above a console table or in a hallway…anywhere really!! It will instantly elevate any space. Good mirrors are hard to come by and I feel like I’m secretly hoping to find something like this at every antique store I walk into so to know it’s here and accessible? I’ll definitely be using it in future projects.

We all know Burl is the IN wood right now and I’m right there with everyone. I love it. The movement it brings to wood is hitting all the notes for me. I want to see grain and an artistic touch to all wood pieces. Something to save me from all the banal furniture from the last 20 years. This is a bold and unique interpretation that is sure to make every room pop. It’s a bigger scale with a painterly aspect, hence the novelty, but I’ll be this will be one of their best sellers.

This might be an easy, no-brainer but seriously - the round stripe pillow is the perfect addition to any room. It can go with any print because the colors are subdued. It’s not a black and white, it’s black and beige. Whenever I’m putting a room together, I’m looking for simple pieces to either tone a room down or add a slight punch and this pillow does that in spades. Also the shape! It’s perfect.

SOOS ATELIER
I recently discovered Soos Atelier and I instantly added to cart. I’m always looking for pieces that can add a touch of beauty to my kitchen and tablescapes that are good prices but that are made well. I would prefer to look to smaller, independent businesses rather than big box retailers like Target or Amazon. So here are just a few of my favorites, although there are more…
I love the stainless steel, I love the swirls, I love the thickness of the handle - what’s not to love??

Classic, it’s right in the name. This is a class stainless steel coupe and I want 20 of them. So far, I only bought 1 but there’s nothing from stopping me and ordering more because it’s so good. Put all the olives or grapes or dip or WHATEVER in here and let me set up a tablescape. Even if it’s just for me.

Everything I said about the olive coupe but shorter. Just writing this post is getting me closer to adding more to cart. Didn’t I talk about more romance in our Interiors world? This is a good start.

If anyone is looking for a gift for my 48th birthday this month, may I point you in the direction of this serving bowl lol. I mean LOOK HOW INCREDIBLE IT IS!!! Move over cabbage wear, here comes RADICCHIO!! The color is exquisite and it’s playful and fun. I imagine how even better it will look with an array of fruit colors inside - or salads - to really allow it to shine.

Glass work has really caught my eye over the last year or so and this one is a favorite as of late. It’s made by artisan masters in the Czech Republic, bringing it’s rich Bohemian history and reinterpreting it in a modern way. Plus the green hue is perfection. Whether it holds an array of beautiful flowers or stands alone, all eyes are on her.

No roundup would be complete without some reference to shells. Everyone is shell crazy lately and I just want it to be known that I have ALWAYS been on the shell train. But it’s great to see them coming through as a main character. They deserve their time in the spotlight! There are plenty of goodies out there that are shell oriented so find a beauty that catches your eye and place them anywhere and everywhere. This one in particular is a fantastic trinket dish or decor item for your shelving.

Thank you for reading my first roundup of Things I Heart. My goal is to get these out every month (via my Substack) so we’ll see how that works out! Sending out a little plea to those who are reading - please share with anyone you think would enjoy this article! I appreciate everyone who supports me by following along!
